This is my website about my flying lessons to get my private pilots licence (PPL) a bit like a pilots diary with as many pics and vids as I can get along with full descriptions of what I did in each lesson,

To get my licence I have saved all the money I earnt from a part time job, and put it towards the cost of the lessons or equipment which I needed for flying

No updates for well over a year, all images missing - a huge design update is planned!
I simply have not had the time to update it & the webhost it was on deleted my account for no particular reason, removing all the images. It's now on a new reliable very reliable host & I am planning to completely re-develop this website as soon as I get a bit of free time, I seem to be spending 99% of my time developing websites for clients (now including the flying school I learnt to fly with!)
The site has been like this for a good 3 years+ & really does not relflect what I can now do, in terms of website design.

FAQ's
What age did you start?
I started a few months after I turned 14, I flew solo for the first time on my 16th birthday & got the PPL on my 17th. All are the earliest possible ages you can do those things.

how long did it take to get the PPL?
Well answer is above really,... about 3 years, I was held back quite a bit because of my age, most people take 1-2 years assuming they fly evey few weeks.

How much did it cost to get your licence?
With all the equiptment, landing fees, club membership.. etc & extra hours I ended up doing, it was round about £7000ish

27/11/06 Trip down to spain to see Flight Training Europe booked

04/11/06 Went up to the Flyer Exhibition at Heathrow

29/10/06 New site launched!
24/10/06 I decided it's time to completely change the site & make it even better , so development from scratch is underway

14/9/06 New Flight Sim Section of the website added

 07/7/06 i was in the herald today, well at least they got everything  right this time 

05/7/06 The evening herald came up to the airport to take some pics of me with the aircraft and my licence, should be in it on friday (7/7/06)

25/6/06 flew the PA28 Warrior for the 1st time today and also took my dad up for the 1st time

24/6/06 Private pilots licence turned up today in the post and i'm now allowed to carry passengers and fly any single engine piston land aircraft , i also took my godfather up today, so the total no of passengers carried so far is 1 

02/6/06 I took my PPL skills test toady and passed  now all i have to do is wait for my birthday, and the licence to turn up in the post  go to the flying lessons page to find out what happened

31/5/06 went to exeter and passed the practical radio exam and i now have the  "UK Flight Radiotelephony Operator's Licence" meaning im officially allowed to use an aircraft radio

24/5/06 passed the "communications" exam with 86%, last written exam

17/5/06 passed the "Flight performance and planning" exam with 95% 1 mare to go 

03/5/06 passed the "human factors and pilot performance" exam with 100%  2mre to go  

19/4/06 passed the "aircraft general & principles of flight" exam with 92% only 3mre to go 

01/3/06 i got 3 more videos accepted onto flightlevel350.com, there are links to these from the flying lessons page underneath the lesson they were taken in

8/02/06 Took my Navigation exam and passed 76% (only 4 more 2 go now )

29/1/06 finally got round to brightening and re-uploading all pics on the website

27/1/06 I got a video accepted onto flightleve350.com go here to look

Christmas I got a mini DV camcorder so all my flights from now on will be recorded  with sound & hopefully with ATC in them

22/10/05 Went up to Oxford Aviation flight training school for an open day/seminar

8/11/05 i've been given more space  so i don't need the other website anymore and i have now completely redesigned and updated this one to fit the extra info

01/9/05 solo cross country qualifier done!! 

28/8/05  first solo landaway.

25/8/05 GCSE results  5 A's   3 B's   2 C's

23/8/05 took meteorology exam passed 80%

20/8/05 the new site is now linked up if it works well enough you shouldn't notice it 

17/8/05 I've run out of space on this site so i've started a new one which will soon be linked up with this one and have in flight pics of another solo nav ex and pics of my trip to cardiff today, however that site will only be used for pics this one will still have the info on flying lessons

15/6/05 I was in the paper and they put rubbish photos in and got it wrong
